Bangladesh System Administrators’ Forum Starts Its Journey
Bangladesh System Administrators’ Forum (BDSAF), an association of system engineers working at public and private organizations across the country, started journey officially on Friday (July 31). Engineers involved with any organization’s technical system operation, can get membership of the newly formed platform.
The announcement of the new initiative came during an event titled ‘The 16th World System Admin Day,’ which was organized for the first time in Bangladesh, at BRAC Centre Inn here in the capital.
The organization will represent over three thousand of System Admin Engineers, working across the country, while some 150 engineers already registered up to the reporting date according the organizers.
A convening committee headed by BRAC ICT Infrastructure In-Charge Muhammad Jobayer Almahmud Hossain was formed as well. Other members of the committee include Senior Manager of ICCDR,B IT Department Muhibul Muktadir Tanim, Exim Bank System Manager Syed Ahsan Habib and Data Centre Senior Manager Muhammad Mizanur Rahman.
“System Admins of Bangladesh want to contribute to the progressing technology driven Bangladesh led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ICT Affairs Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy and ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak.”
One of the initiators, Muhammad Jobayer Almahmud Hossain said, “System Admins of Bangladesh want to contribute to the progressing technology driven Bangladesh led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ICT Affairs Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy and ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak.”
The main focusing areas of the organization are: networking among the system engineers, knowledge sharing on system engineering and building awareness on the sector.
The organizers shared that they are planning to organise a day long program during latter half of August on System Admin Engineering which will include sessions on cloud computing, data base management, system admin operations, prospect of a career as system administrator and so on.
